BIO/CV

Sandy has been an artist her entire life. After attending art school as an illustration major, she worked as a graphic designer of children’s books for many years. Her earlier paintings reflect the passion she has for children’s art.

More recently, Sandy has been using oil paints as her medium of choice. She often works from photographs and enjoys setting up her own still lifes.  She also enjoys painting animals and landscapes. The challenge of creating an animal portrait that captures his/her personality fascinates her. Her paintings reflect her love of detail as she strives for a realistic effect.

Sandy lives in Bridgewater, New Jersey with her husband and two children.

She is a member of the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, New Jersey and also the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Her artwork has been exhibited at The Albrook School in Basking Ridge, The Bridgewater Public Library, The Bridgewater Municipal Complex and The Center for Contemporary Art.
