STATEMENT

I enjoy exploring many art forms. Working out of doors in nature creating my plein air pieces are a joy to me after having spent most of my artist life in studio learning, teaching and making art.

To have the freedom of personal time to travel and explore is critical to the artist for inspiration.I look at my journey as one to enjoy and experience. To seek out new places and professional connections whether they be artist groups or art organizations, there is always something new to experience.

The field of art to me has been a lifelong one that continues to provide opportunities to share my work, be acknowledged and appreciate the efforts of those with whom I share this common thread.

Creating and enjoying art in all its forms is a lifelong journey. It is only when you find yourself totally immersed in a work of art that you can truly feel you have found a piece of yourself.

BIO/CV

Bio

As an art educator for four decades, I’ve taught all ages and have had the good fortune to experience all types of artistic expression, enjoying the company of peers, educators and artists alike. Having been a full time educator for most of my life, I pursued all avenues available to me whilst raising a family. I’ve traveled extensively and have experienced the grand museums and art of many of the great capitals of European Art – Rome, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Paris, London, amongst others.

Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ –  just a ‘stones throw’ from New York City – I have visited the city’s world class museums and galleries from my early days to the present. Always keen to take on new form of expression, I continue to advance my knowledge and expertise on a wide variety of art materials and technical equipment.

Along my journey, I have touched many young lives and shared my expertise and passion for art with my students. Many have gone on to work in the field and have succeeded beyond my expectations. I continue to be involved in area art galleries, working alongside fellow artists and participating in workshops led by professional artisans and artists in area associations.
